Hello I'm Robin, owner of Emersive and co-author of the What A Year To Be Born! series.

 

I live in the inspiring university city of Cambridge, UK that has hosted some of the literary greats including A.A. Milne, E.M. Forster, Douglas Adams, Virginia Woolf and Ted Hughes. Many of the world's greatest scientists also studied at the university including Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking and Alan Turing.

My co-author Joe is based in the hustle and bustle of London, home to great authors both past and present including Samuel Pepys, T.S. Eliot, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and George Orwell.

We certainly don't claim to be in the same league as these giants, but we do draw inspiration from our surroundings to produce books that inform and entertain.  We take great care in researching, writing and designing every book. Our goal is to create not just a book, but an experience that readers will treasure.

​

However, none of this would be possible without the oversight and leadership of Piper, my 4-year-old Australian Shepherd. He ensures that we strain every sinew to create the best books we can. That's when he's not distracted by a squirrel or a pigeon in the nearby park!
